Worship & Music Leader: Brent Metz

Invocation

Scripture: Psalm 146

1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!

2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God all my life long.

3 Do not put your trust in princes, in mortals, in whom there is no help.

4 When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day their plans perish.

5 Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God,

6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever;

7 who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free;

8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

9 The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord!

“I’ve Got a River of Life”

I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see, Opens prison doors, sets the captives free I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me.

Chorus: Spring up, O well (splish splash) Within my soul, Spring up, O well (splish splash) And make me whole, Spring up, O well (splish splash) and give to me That life abundantly!

“Redeemed, How I Love to Proclaim It”

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!

Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy

His child, and forever, I am

Chorus:

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy his child, and forever, I am.

Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus,

No language my capture can tell!

I know that the light of His presence

With me doth continually dwell.

Chorus:

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy his child, and forever, I am.

I think of my blessed Redeemer;

I think of Him all the day long,

I sing, for I cannot be silent;

His love is the theme of my song.

Chorus:

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy his child, and forever, I am.

I know I shall see in His beauty the King,

In whose law I delight,

Who lovingly guardeth my foot-steps

And giveth me songs in the night.

Chorus:

Redeemed, redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy his child, and forever, I am.

“Since I have been Redeeemed”

I have a song I love to sing,

Since I have been redeemed,

Of my redeemer, Savior, King,

Since I have been redeemed.

Chorus:

Since I have been redeemed

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in His name.

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in my Savior’s name.

I have a Christ that satisfies,

Since I have been redeemed,

To do His will-my highest prize,

Since I have been redeemed.

Chorus:

Since I have been redeemed

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in His name.

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in my Savior’s name.

I have a witness bright and clear,

Since I have been redeemed.

Dispelling every doubt and fear,

Since I have been redeemed.

Chorus:

Since I have been redeemed

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in His name.

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in my Savior’s name.

I have a home prepared for me,

Since I have been redeemed,

Where I shall live eternally,

Since I have been redeemed.

Chorus:

Since I have been redeemed

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in His name.

Since I have been redeemed,

I will glory in my Savior’s name.

Invitation

Confession

Pardon

Peace

Pastor Ryan: Christ our Lord invites to his table all

Who love him,

Who earnestly repent of their sin

And seek to live in peace with one

Another,

Therefore, let us confess our sin before

God and one another.

Congregation: Merciful God, We confess that we have not loved you

with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church.

We have not done your will,

We have broken your law,

We have rebelled against your love,

We have not loved our neighbors,

And we have not heard the cry of the needy.

Forgive us we pray. Free us for joyful obedience,

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

(Silent confession)

Pastor Ryan: Hear the good news, Christ dierd for us

While we were still sinners, which

Proves God’s love for us. In the name of

Jesus Christ, You are forgiven.

Congregation: In the name of Jesus Christ, You are forgiven.

Glory to God, Amen.

Proverbs 22:1-2, 8-9, 22-23

1 A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. 2 The rich and the poor have this in common: the Lord is the maker of them all.

8 Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of anger will fail. 9 Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor.

22 Do not rob the poor because they are poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate; 23 for the Lord pleads their cause and despoils of life those

who despoil them.

Pastoral Prayer-Joys & Concerns

Scripture: Mark 7:24-37

24 From there he set out and went away to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know he was there. Yet he could not escape notice,

25 but a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately heard about him, and she came and bowed down at his feet.

26 Now the woman was a Gentile, of Syrophoenician origin. She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.

27 He said to her, "Let the children be fed first, for it is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to the dogs."

28 But she answered him, "Sir, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."

29 Then he said to her, "For saying that, you may go—the demon has left your daughter."

30 So she went home, found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

31 Then he returned from the region of Tyre, and went by way of Sidon towards the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis.

32 They brought to him a deaf man who had an impediment in his speech; and they begged him to lay his hand on him.

33 He took him aside in private, away from the crowd, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue.

34 Then looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened."

35 And immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.

36 Then Jesus ordered them to tell no one; but the more he ordered them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.

37 They were astounded beyond measure, saying, "He has done everything well; he even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."

Blessed be the Name of the Lord”

Blessed be the name of the Lord,

He is worthy to be praised and adored’

So we lift up holy hands in one accord,

Singing, “Blessed be the name, blessed be the name,

Blessed be the name of the Lord”

“Who you Say I Am”

Who am I that the highest King would welcome me? I was lost, but He brought me in Oh His love for me Oh His love for me

Who the Son sets free Oh, is free indeed I'm a child of God, yes, I am

Free at last, He has ransomed me His grace runs deep While I was a slave to sin, Jesus died for me Yes, He died for me

Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God, yes, I am In my Father's house There's a place for me I'm a child of God, yes, I am

I am chosen, not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me, not against me I am who You say I am

I am chosen, not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me, not against me I am who You say I am I am who You say I am

Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God, yes, I am In my Father's house There's a place for me I'm a child of God, yes, I am

In my Father's house There's a place for me I'm a child of God, yes, I am

I am chosen, not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me, not against me I am who You say I am

I am chosen, not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me, not against me I am who You say I am

I am chosen, not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me, not against me I am who You say I am Oh I am who You say I am Yes, I am who you say I am

Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed I'm a child of God, yes, I am In my Father's house There's a place for me I'm a child of God, yes, I am

Scripture: Ephesians 4:25-5:2

25 So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another.

26 Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

27 and do not make room for the devil.

28 Thieves must give up stealing; rather let them labor and work honestly with their own hands, so as to have something to share with the needy.

29 Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.

31 Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice,

32 and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children,

2 and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Message: Pastor Ryan

Communion

Pastor Ryan: The Communion Supper, instituted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a sacrament, which proclaims His life, His sufferings, His sacrificial death and resurrection, and the hope of His coming again. It shows forth the Lord’s death until His return. The Supper is a means of grace in which Christ is present by the Spirit.

It is to be received in reverent appreciation and gratefulness for the work of Christ. All those who are truly repentant, forsaking their sins, and believing in Christ for salvation are invited to participate in the death and resurrection of Christ. We come to the table that we may be renewed in life and salvation and be made one by the Spirit.

In unity with the Church, we confess our faith:

Congregation: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Pastor Ryan: Holy God, We gather at this, your table, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who by your Spirit was anointed to preach good news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives, set at liberty those who are oppressed. Christ healed the sick, fed the hungry, ate with sinners, and established the new covenant for forgiveness of sins. We live in the hope of His coming again.

On the night in which He was betrayed, He took bread, gave thanks, broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said: “Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me

Likewise, when the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks, gave it to His disciples, and said: “Drink from this, all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of

Me.” Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

And so, we gather as the Body of Christ to offer ourselves to you in praise and thanksgiving. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us and on these your gifts. Make them by the power of your Spirit to be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the

world the Body of Christ, redeemed by His blood.

By your Spirit make us one in Christ, one with each other, and one in the ministry of Christ to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen. And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, let us pray:

ALL: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen
