A Note from Pastor Ryan

Reflection on Matthew 21:23-32

One of the classic debates in Christianity is around works or faith. If you're unfamiliar some people say that we are saved by what we believe. Others say we are saved by what we do.  Matthew 21:23-32 is an appropriate passage to address that question.

"What do you think? A man had two sons; he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vineyard today.'He answered, 'I will not,' but later he changed his mind and went. The father went to the second and said the same, and he answered, 'I go, sir,' but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." 

The one who is doing the will of the Father is the one who does not merely give lip service, but who does the work his father has asked. Saving is not simply knowing the correct information, Saving Faith is trusting God enough to live our lives how God has instructed us to live: holiness. This week let our faith be strong enough for us to be obedient, not simply knowing the correct information.

The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings that support ministry efforts globally, including places for worship, learning, healing, and housing for missionaries.

Game Day

Will is hosting a game day, October 3^rd, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the gym. Bring a game and drop in for some fun.

Prime Time lunch is the first Tuesday of the month. Mark your calendar, October 6^th, 12:00 Noon at Russ’,

Trick-or Treat Trail

Annual Trick or Treat Trail will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Lamar Park. We have a table where we hand out candy and church information. Please let Lori Schriver or Pastor Ryan know if you can help during this event. If you would like to carpool, we will leave the church at 3:00 p.m.

Women's Ministry Craft Day

October17th we will be making wreaths. Please sign-up in the foyer so we know what holiday wreath you are going to make. We want to make sure to have enough supplies!

Please join us for our annual Harvest Festival & Trunk or Treat Community Outreach

October 24^th from 2-4PM!

This is a great time for outreach in showing love to our neighbors, how great our church community is and see some really cute kids in costumes. Please donate candy so we can serve between 200-2,000 kids. We are in need of a lot more candy. If you are able to help out with this, it would be greatly appreciated! We can use everyone that can help out! See Pastor Chrissy with any questions!
