This Week at Clyde Park
A Note from Pastor Ryan
Since last week's blog was so long, lets go short this week. This Sunday we will read from Matthew 25:1-13. It is a story about keeping lamps lit. We can boil it down to: Stay faithful even in the darkest days. Stanley Hauerwas says, "In the dark you must keep the lamps ready even if they are not able to overcome the darkness."
When things are difficult we have a temptation to slink away. Perhaps there are times when we are angry with God we will put our practices in "time-out" and come back later. This parable says that the women who did not take the time to be ready in advance were left out. We know that Jesus is coming. We know that God wins the day, let us be faithful- even when it is hard.

The Food Pantry Needs Your Help
In the month of November, we would like to be able to provide families with a gift card to Aldi to buy a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. That would mean we would need $2,000 for the month.
Women’s Ministry
We will be having a Christmas Craft on Saturday, November 7th, at 1:00 p.m.
We will be painting lighted wooden Christmas Village buildings. You are also welcome to bring your own craft to work on and join the group for a nice afternoon. Please sign up in the foyer so we can calculate the number of supplies we will need! Thank you!
