Some weeks I wish I could preach a sermon for each of the scripture readings. This coming Sunday we will be reading from Matthew 14:13-21- the feeding of the 5,000. While that passage has many messages one of the central ideas is that what we have is enough. Sometimes we may think that what we have to offer is of little value. Jesus commanded his disciples to feed the crowd and they tried to escape his commands citing scarcity. "We only have five loaves and two fish." For Jesus that was enough. They brought the fish to him and he multiplied them. 

I am not sure what commands Jesus may have made towards you, but I promise you have enough if you bring it to Jesus. 

All too often we attempt to do things through our own strength and energy. Or we diminish what God can do in and through us. There is no reason to diminish what Jesus can do. Don't think "I'm too small" or "I have too little." God can do incredible work with small things. Lets never forget that!
