Tonight is the last of the Cottage Prayer Meetings for 2025. If you've been meaning to go, tonight is a great time to go! 7:00 PM 7905 Cottonwood Jenison, MI 49418 Tomorrow morning we continue our prayer meeting at 10:30 AM. Then tomorrow night we will be having CHILI!! yes, the weather is finally good enough for it again. This weekend we will be worshipping together. Oct. 19 The Stewards are hosting the first of the "Fellowship Feasts." We keep growing as a church, this meal is designed to help us all get to know the church family on a more personal manner. You can bring a dish to pass or not. All are welcome!

Oct 25 is ALL HANDS ON DECK for our annual Trunk or Treat! Last year thousands showed up! It is a good time to show our neighbors that we love them.

On November 2nd we will be celebrating All Saints Sunday. In thinking about that Sunday the lyrics of "The Church's one Foundation" comes to mind.  For centuries theologians have distinguished between the church militant and the church triumphant. The church militant describes those who are living currently. We who are in Christ and alive are active duty. We take our orders from the holy Spirit. He instructs how to live, where to serve, etc. Those who have passed on are regarded as the church victorious. The Church's One foundation speaks of the church victorous.

Till with the vision glorious

Her longing eyes are blest,

And the great Church victorious

Shall be the Church at rest.

O happy ones and holy!

Lord, give us grace that we

Like them, the meek and lowly,

On high may dwell with thee One day we will dwell with the Lord. But until that day, we must be militant. All Saints Day gives us a chance to thank God for those who have gone before us. They have given us a rich inheretance. We honor their memory by imitating and improving upon their love of God. On November 8th the women's ministry is taking a trip to Shipshewana. All ladies are invited to meet at the church at 8:30 for this outing.
