Dinner tonight and other stuff!

We continue reading Paul's encouraging message to the Philippians this week. Chapter 3 is full of excellent words and totally worth memorizing. One part that has stuck with me through the years is Paul encouraging them to continue pressing on. Part of the reason that stuck was because I loved the CCM Band Relient K. If you need a reminder to press on, this song is an ear worm. Even if you don't enjoy 00's pop-punk, it will definitely get stuck in your head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLNcsqHwoXI Tonight's Community Dinner is going to be pulled pork sandwiches with pasta and potato salad.

Oct. 31- Harvest Festival and indoor Trick or Treating Each year we host 200-400 people at the church for our Harvest Festival. We've found that the largest crowds come on Halloween. We still have plenty of places to volunteer, see Emmy Quanstrom for more details!

Nov. 1 All Saints Service 7:00pm Because of the Harvest Festival- we are cancelling most Wednesday Night activities and we are hosting an inter generational All Saints Service. In previous years we've held an all saints part of the service, but this year we will have the memorial service in the Sanctuary on All Saints Day. Men's Hockey Game-

The Mens Ministry is heading to a Griffins game on Nov. 10. Johnny Redwing is helping us find the best deal for the tickets, but if you're intersted in joining or inviting a friend, contact Pastor Ryan Thanksgiving at the Church

This may seem a long way off, but I wanted people to know about it early. Each year Emmy and I feel a burden for people for whom Thanksgiving becomes a lonely day. This year we've decided to try and remedy that by having a Church Family Gathering at the church. This is not intended to be a burden to anyone, and we don't want anyone to feel guilty about doing their family Thanksgiving. Please celebrate with your families! If, however, you want to spend the day at the church, we're going to set up board games in the cafe, the projector in the gym for people to watch football games, we'll have the traditional turkey, and perhaps a semi-traditional lasagna. It should simply be a relaxing day of being a family feasting together offering Thanksgiving to God. If this sounds like a day you would enjoy, contact Pastor or Emmy.
