Welcome

Invocation Psalm 67

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us

and make his face to shine upon us,Selah

2 that your way may be known upon earth,

your saving power among all nations.

3 Let the peoples praise you, O God;

let all the peoples praise you.

4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,

for you judge the peoples with equity

and guide the nations upon earth.Selah

5 Let the peoples praise you, O God;

let all the peoples praise you.

6 The earth has yielded its increase;

God, our God, has blessed us.

7 May God continue to bless us;

let all the ends of the earth revere him.

Let All the People Praise Thee

1 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, Ye people of his choice. Let all to whom he lendeth breath Now in his name rejoice; For love’s blest revelation, For rest from condemnation, For uttermost salvation To him give thanks.

Refrain Let all the people praise thee, Let all the people praise thee! Let all the people praise thy name Forever and forevermore, for evermore, O Lord!

2 Oh, praise him for his holiness, His wisdom and his grace; Sing praises for the precious blood Which ransomed all our race; In tenderness he sought us, From depths of sin he brought us, The way of life then taught us. To him give thanks.

Refrain Let all the people praise thee, Let all the people praise thee! Let all the people praise thy name Forever and forevermore, for evermore, O Lord!

3 Had I a thousand tongues to sing, The half could ne’er be told Of love so rich, so full and free, Of blessings manifold; Of grace that faileth never, Peace flowing like a river, From God the glorious Giver, To him give thanks.

Refrain Let all the people praise thee, Let all the people praise thee! Let all the people praise thy name Forever and forevermore, for evermore, O Lord!

I Will Praise Him

1 When I saw the cleansing fountain, Open wide for all my sin, I obeyed the Spirit’s wooing When He said, “Wilt thou be clean?”

Refrain: I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.

2 Tho' the way seems straight and narrow, All I claimed was swept away; My ambitions, plans and wishes, At my feet in ashes lay.

Refrain: I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.

3 Then God’s fire upon the alter

Of my heart was swept away;

My ambitions, plans, and wishes

At my feet in ashes lay.

Refrain: I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.

4 Blessed be the name of Jesus! I’m so glad He took me in; He’s forgiven my transgressions, He has cleansed my heart from sin.

Refrain: I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.

5 Glory, glory to the Father! Glory, glory to the Son! Glory, glory to the Spirit! Glory to the Three in One!

Refrain: I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.

Pastoral Prayer Romans 11:1-2, 29-32a

1 I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 Just as you were once disobedient to God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, 31 so they have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy. 32 For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all.

Great is thy Faithfulness

1 "Great is Thy faithfulness, " O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!" Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— "Great is Thy faithfulness, " Lord, unto me!

2 Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!" Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— "Great is Thy faithfulness, " Lord, unto me!

3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!" Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— "Great is Thy faithfulness, " Lord, unto me!

Matthew 19:1-15

1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he cured them there.

3 Some Pharisees came to him, and to test him they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?” 4 He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?

6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her?” 8 He said to them, “It was because you were so hard-hearted that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another commits adultery.” 10 His disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” 11 But he said to them, “Not everyone can accept this teaching, but only those to whom it is given. 12 For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.” 13 Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” 15 And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.
