Invocation

Scripture: Psalm 91:9-16

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your dwelling place,

10 no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

12 On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver; I will protect those who know my name.

15 When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them.

16 With long life I will satisfy them, and show them my salvation.

Thou art worthy,

Thou art worthy,

Thou art worthy, O Lord.

To receive glory, glory and honor,

Glory and honor and pow’r.

For Thou hast created,

Hast all things created;

Thou hast created all things.

And for Thy pleasure they are created;

For Thou art worthy, O Lord

“We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise”

We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord;

We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.

And we offer up to You the sacrifices of thanksgiving;

And we offer up to You the sacrifices of joy.

“O Worship the King”

1. O worship the King,

all glorious above O gratefully sing

His wonderful love Our Shield and Defender,

the Ancient of Days Paviolioned in splendor,

and girded with praise

2. O tell of His might,

O sing of His grace Whose robe is the light

whose canopy space His chariots of wrath

the deep thunderclouds form And dark is His path

on the wings of the storm

3. Thy bountiful care,

what tongue can recite? It breathes in the air, it shines in the light; It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain, And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.

4. Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail; Thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end, Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

“Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise”

1 Immortal, invisible, God only wise, In light inaccessible hid from our eyes, Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise. 2 Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light, Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might; Thy justice like mountains high soaring above Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love

3 To all, life Thou givest To both great and small;

In all life Thou livest-The true Life of all.

Thy wisdom so boundless, Thy mercy so free,

Eternal Thy goodness, For naught changeth Thee

4 Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,

Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight.

All laud we would render-O help us to see

‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee

Scripture: Isaiah 53

1 Who has believed what we have heard? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account.

4 Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have all turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

8 By a perversion of justice he was taken away. Who could have imagined his future? For he was cut off from the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people.

9 They made his grave with the wicked and his tomb with the rich, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him with pain. When you make his life an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, and shall prolong his days; through him the will of the Lord shall prosper.

11 Out of his anguish he shall see light; he shall find satisfaction through his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, shall make many righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will allot him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Pastoral Prayer-Joys & Concerns

Scripture: Mark 10:35-45

35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you."

36 And he said to them, "What is it you want me to do for you?"

37 And they said to him, "Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory."

38 But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"

39 They replied, "We are able." Then Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink you will drink; and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized;

40 but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared."

41 When the ten heard this, they began to be angry with James and John.

42 So Jesus called them and said to them, "You know that among the Gentiles those whom they recognize as their rulers lord it over them, and their great ones are tyrants over them.

43 But it is not so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant,

44 and whoever wishes to be first among you must be slave of all.

45 For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."

“Build Your Church”

On Christ alone,

Our chief cornerstone

No other foundation can we build upon

Not philosophy

Nor the wisdom of man

All other ground

is sinking sand

On Christ alone,

Our chief cornerstone

No other foundation can we build upon

Not philosophy

Nor the wisdom of man

All other ground

is sinking sand

Upon this rock,

You build Your Church

And the gates of hell will not prevail

When we bind and loose,

we proclaim Your truth

And in Jesus' name,

we will not fail

Never fail,

Crucified,

raised up from the dead

Led captivity captive,

it is finished

He gave us the keys,

His authority

Now we are joint heirs to the praise of His glory, glory

Upon this rock,

You build Your Church

And the gates of hell will not prevail

When we bind and loose,

we proclaim Your truth

And in Jesus' name,

we will not fail

Never fail,

Build Your Church

Build it from the ground up

It's Your Church

,“Your Love is Strong”

Strong enough to calm the storms Of fear and unbelief Fierce enough to break the cords Of death that clung to me 'Cause I have come to know a love Whose power has overcome Every insecurity And Heaven moves and demons flee now As I lift my voice to sing Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong Close enough to hold me near When fear is crippling Safe enough to be my home When my world is crumbling 'Cause I have come to know a love Stronger than the grave That in my darkest hour You raised me up from death to life now In resurrection power Oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong! And Your love, it vanquished all my enemies It broke the cage that silenced me And set this songbird free I sing, for all the love You've given me Rejoice because You've chosen me And called this orphan home Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong Oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong And oh, Your love is strong

9 "Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one.
