Hello Church! I hope everyone is feeling well on this dreary day. Apparently many had come down with the flu. Hopefully that has passed. Tonight the teens are serving their Spaghetti dinner, why don't you come out and support them? Additionally on Sunday we will be receiveing our Alabaster Offering. Next Wednesday is the start of Lent. We will still have community dinner, but instead of our normal Bible studies, we will have an Ash Wednesday service. If you have not begun thinking of it, I highly recommend finding a lenten fast and a lenten practice. Perhaps you have wanted to grow your prayer life. There are a variety of ways to pray. Maybe you want to fast one day a week. Or perhaps you fast an entertainment. This is a time to lament the brokenness of the world, to let go of superfluous things, and to embrace Jesus even more. We will be holding an additional membership class for those who are interested in learning more about the church and potentially becoming members. It will meet at 9:30 on Sunday Mornings starting March 16th. If you have any questions, ask Pastor Ryan Come to the Table The MI District hosts an annual discipleship event called Come to the Table. This year they will be focusing on how churches can use Compassionate Ministries as Discipleship. Children's Ministry Update! All children's workers must complete the NazSafe training every two years. Chrissy will be leading us in this training on March 23 after the service. Lunch will be provided. Easter is almost here! That means we will begin collecting candy for our Easter Egg Hunt on April 12 at 3pm. We would also ask you to be in prayer for hopw to serve at VBS June 16-20 6:30-8:30 PM.
