Masks...

As you may be aware the CDC and the state of Michigan have both altered the rules for mask wearing. This is great news for those who have been vaccinated, but it could make things a bit awkward for a church. This year has been a challenging year for all of us, but especially for the board. Our church has every opinion imaginable about how we should be acting with regards to the pandemic . Some have been so opposed to masks that they decided to sever ties with the church. Others have told me that they will not be present until we reach herd immunity. Weighing all people's concerns, thinking about how to keep us safe, and then also making sure that we stay united as the scriptures tell us to, has been no easy task. The board made our policies, and it is the board's responsibility to change the policies. And the board has not yet had a chance to prayerfully engage with how we should proceed. Do not worry, we have a board meeting scheduled for tomorrow night at 6:00 pm. We will discuss all the angles and come up with a new plan in light of this surprising news.

I ask that we all remain obedient to the instructions from Ephesians 4:2, "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." I thank you for how resilient you have been through this trying time. With love, Pastor Ryan
