Invocation

Scripture: Psalm 86:1-10, 16-17

Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God;

be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all day long.Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my cry of supplication. In the day of my trouble I call on you, for you will answer me.

There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come    and bow down before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.10 For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.

16 Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant; save the child of your maidservant.17 Show me a sign of your favor, so that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

“There is Power in the Blood”

Hymn #449

Would you be free

from your burden of sin?

There’s pow’r in the blood,

pow’r in the blood.

Would you o’er evil

a victory win?

There’s wonderful pow’r

in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the blood of the Lamb.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the precious blood

of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your

passion and pride?

There’s pow’r in the blood,

pow’r in the blood.

Come for a cleansing to

Calvary’s tide.

There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the blood of the Lamb.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the precious blood

of the Lamb.

Would you be whiter,

much whiter than snow?

There’s pow’r in the blood,

pow’r in the blood.

Sin-stains are lost in its

life-giving flow.

There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the blood of the Lamb.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the precious blood

of the Lamb.

Would you do service

for Jesus, your King?

There’s pow’r in the blood,

pow’r in the blood.

Would you live daily

His praises to sing?

There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the blood of the Lamb.

There is pow’r, pow’r,

wonder-working pow’r

In the precious blood

of the Lamb.

“I Know Whom I Have Believed”

Hymn #443

I know not why God’s wondrous grace

To me He hath made known,

Nor why, unworthy,

Christ in love

Redeemed me for His own.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.

I know not how this saving faith

To me He did impart,

Nor how believing in His Word

Wro’t peace within my heart.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.

I know not how the Spirit moves,

Convincing men of sin,

Revealing Jesus thro’ the Word,

Creating faith in Him.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.

I know not what of good or ill

May be reserved for me,

Of weary ways or golden days

Before His face I see.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.

But I know whom I have believ-ed,

And am persuaded

that He is able

To keep that which I’ve committed

Unto Him against that day.
