Psalm 20

The Lord answer you in the day of trouble! The name of the God of Jacob protect you! 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary, and give you support from Zion. 3 May he remember all your offerings, and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices.Selah

4 May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your plans. 5 May we shout for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

6 Now I know that the Lord will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand. 7 Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses, but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They will collapse and fall, but we shall rise and stand upright.

9 Give victory to the king, O Lord; answer us when we call.

“My Faith has Found a Resting Place”

My faith has found a resting place Not in device nor creed I trust the Ever-living One His wounds for me shall plead

I need no other argument I need no other plea It is enough that Jesus died And that He died for me

Enough for me that Jesus saves This ends my fear and doubt A sinful soul I come to Him He'll never cast me out

I need no other argument I need no other plea It is enough that Jesus died And that He died for me

My heart is leaning on the Word The written Word of God Salvation by my Savior's name Salvation through His blood

I need no other argument I need no other plea It is enough that Jesus died And that He died for me

My great Physician heals the sick

The lost He came to save;

For me His precious blood He shed-

For me His life He gave

I need no other argument I need no other plea It is enough that Jesus died And that He died for me

“I Know Whom I Have Believed”

1 I know not why God’s wondrous grace to me He hath made known, nor why, with mercy, Christ in love redeemed me for his own.

Refrain: But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”

2 I know not how this saving faith to me he did impart, nor how believing in his word wrought peace within my heart.

Refrain: But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”

3 I know not how the Spirit moves, convincing us of sin, revealing Jesus through the Word, creating faith in Him.

Refrain: But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”

4 I know not what of good or ill

Maay be reserved for me,

Of weary ways or golden days

Before His face I see

Refrain: But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”

5 I know not when my Lord may come, at night or noon-day fair, nor if I’ll walk the vale with him, or meet him in the air.

Refrain: But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”

“I Love Him Better Every Day”

I love Him better every day I love Him better every day Close by His side I will abide I love Him better every day.

Scripture: Ezekiel 17:22-24

22 Thus says the Lord God:

I myself will take a sprig from the lofty top of a cedar; I will set it out. I will break off a tender one from the topmost of its young twigs; I myself will plant it on a high and lofty mountain. 23 On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it, in order that it may produce boughs and bear fruit, and become a noble cedar. Under it every kind of bird will live; in the shade of its branches will nest winged creatures of every kind. 24 All the trees of the field shall know that I am the Lord. I bring low the high tree, I make high the low tree; I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I the Lord have spoken; I will accomplish it.

Pastoral Prayer-Joys & Concerns

Scripture: Mark 4:26-34

26 He also said, “The kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground, 27 and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how. 28 The earth produces of itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head. 29 But when the grain is ripe, at once he goes in with his sickle, because the harvest has come.”

30 He also said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; 32 yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”

33 With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it; 34 he did not speak to them except in parables, but he explained everything in private to his disciples.

“Beautiful Things”

All this pain I wonder if I’ll ever find my way I wonder if my life could really change at all All this earth Could all that is lost ever be found Could a garden come up from this ground at all You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us All around Hope is springing up from this old ground Out of chaos life is being found in You You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us You make me new, You are making me new You make me new, You are making me new You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:11-21

11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade others; but we ourselves are well known to God, and I hope that we are also well known to your consciences. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again, but giving you an opportunity to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast in outward appearance and not in the heart. 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. 15 And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.

16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view;[a] even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view,[b] we know him no longer in that way. 17 So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,[c] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. 20 So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
