Invocation

Ephesians 2:1-10

1 You were dead through the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once lived, following the course of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work among those who are disobedient. 3 All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of flesh and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God-- 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

Invitation, Confession, Pardon

[Pastor Ryan will red what is in red,

congregation will read what is in black]

Christ our Lord invites to His table all who Love Him,

Who earnestly repent of their sin and seek

to live in peace with one another.

Therefore, let us confess our sin before God and one another.

Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved You with our whole heart,

we have failed to be an obedient church.

We have not done Your will,

we have boken your law,

we have rebelled against your love,

we have not loved our neighbors,

and we have not heard the cry of the needy.

Forgive us we pray. Free us for joyful obedience

through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.

[Silent Confession]

Hear the good news,

Christ died for us while we were still sinners,

in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

Glory to God, amen.

Numbers 21:4-9

4 From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; but the people became impatient on the way. 5 The people spoke against God and against Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we detest this miserable food." 6 Then the LORD sent poisonous serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you; pray to the LORD to take away the serpents from us." So Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said to Moses, "Make a poisonous serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten shall look at it and live." 9 So Moses made a serpent of bronze, and put it upon a pole; and whenever a serpent bit someone, that person would look at the serpent of bronze and live. John 3:14-21

14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 3:15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 "Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. 20 For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed. 21 But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God."

He is Among Us

[Verse 1] You'll find Me with the broken and the weak In the spaces in between You'll hear My voice cry out with those who weep Only if you're listening [Chorus] Whatever you do for the least of these You do it unto Me [Verse 2] You'll find Me with the ones without a voice The forgotten and ignored My blessing is on those who love the poor 'Til you open up the door [Chorus] Whatever you do for the least of these You do it unto Me Whatever you do for the least of these You do it unto Me [Bridge] Hallelujah, hallelujah He is among us, He is among us Hallelujah, hallelujah He is among us, He is among us Hallelujah, hallelujah He is among us, He is among us Hallelujah, hallelujah He is among us, He is among us [Outro] By this the world will know the Father's love We will know the Father's love

Nothing to Fear

[Verse 1] When you pass through the waters, I will be with you And the depths of the river shall not overwhelm When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned I am the Lord, I am the Lord [Chorus] And there is nothing to fear, nothing to fear There is nothing to fear, nothing to fear For I am with you always [Verse 2] In the depths of your sorrow, I wept beside you When you walked through the shadow, I drew you near And yesterday, today, tomorrow, always the same I am the Lord, I am the Lord [Chorus] And there is nothing to fear, nothing to fear There is nothing to fear, nothing to fear For I am with you always And there is nothing to fear, nothing to fear There is nothing to fear, nothing to fear For I am with you always [Outro] What can separate you from My perfect love? What can separate you from My perfect love? What can separate you from My perfect love? Do not fear, do not fear Do not fear

Psalm 107:1-3, 23-43

1 O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

for his steadfast love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,

those he redeemed from trouble 3 and gathered in from the lands,

from the east and from the west,

from the north and from the south.

23 Some went down to the sea in ships,

doing business on the mighty waters;

24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,

his wondrous works in the deep.

25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,

which lifted up the waves of the sea.

26 They mounted up to heaven, they went down to the depths;

their courage melted away in their calamity;

27 they reeled and staggered like drunkards,

and were at their wits' end.

28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he brought them out from their distress;

29 he made the storm be still,

and the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 Then they were glad because they had quiet,

and he brought them to their desired haven.

31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

for his wonderful works to humankind.

32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,

and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

33 He turns rivers into a desert,

springs of water into thirsty ground,

34 a fruitful land into a salty waste,

because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.

35 He turns a desert into pools of water,

a parched land into springs of water.

36 And there he lets the hungry live,

and they establish a town to live in;

37 they sow fields, and plant vineyards,

and get a fruitful yield.

38 By his blessing they multiply greatly,

and he does not let their cattle decrease.

39 When they are diminished and brought low

through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,

40 he pours contempt on princes

and makes them wander in trackless wastes;

41 but he raises up the needy out of distress,

and makes their families like flocks.

42 The upright see it and are glad;

and all wickedness stops its mouth.

43 Let those who are wise give heed to these things,

and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

Message: Pastor Ryan

Communion

Pastor Ryan reads red:

The Communion Supper, instituted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a sacrament, which proclaims His life, His sufferings, His sacrificial death and resurrection, and the hope of His coming again. It shows forth the Lord’s death until His return. The Supper is a means of grace in which Christ is present by the Spirit. It is to be received in reverent appreciation and gratefulness for the work of Christ. All those who are truly repentant, forsaking their sins, and believing in Christ for salvation are invited to participate in the death and resurrection of Christ. We come to the table that we may be renewed in life and salvation and be made one by the Spirit.

In unity with the Church, we confess our faith:

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Holy God, We gather at this, your table, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ,

who by your Spirit was anointed to preach good news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives,

set at liberty those who are oppressed. Christ healed the sick, fed the hungry, ate with sinners,

and established the new covenant for forgiveness of sins. We live in the hope of His coming again.

On the night in which He was betrayed, He took bread, gave thanks, broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said:

“Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me”

Likewise, when the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks, gave it to His disciples, and said:

“Drink from this, all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of me.” Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

And so, we gather as the Body of Christ to offer ourselves to you in praise and thanksgiving. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us and on these your gifts. Make them by the power of your Spirit to be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the Body of Christ, redeemed by His blood. By your Spirit make us one in Christ, one with each other, and one in the ministry of Christ to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen. And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, let us pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen

Benediction
