Invocation

Ephesians 2:1-10

1 O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, those he redeemed from trouble 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.[a]

4 Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to an inhabited town; 5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. 6 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress; 7 he led them by a straight way, until they reached an inhabited town. 8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind. 9 For he satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry he fills with good things.

Invitation, Confession, Pardon

[Pastor Ryan will red what is in red,

congregation will read what is in black]

Christ our Lord invites to His table all who Love Him,

Who earnestly repent of their sin and seek

to live in peace with one another.

Therefore, let us confess our sin before God and one another.

Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved You with our whole heart,

we have failed to be an obedient church.

We have not done Your will,

we have boken your law,

we have rebelled against your love,

we have not loved our neighbors,

and we have not heard the cry of the needy.

Forgive us we pray. Free us for joyful obedience

through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.

[Silent Confession]

Hear the good news,

Christ died for us while we were still sinners,

in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

Glory to God, amen.

He Has Made Me Glad

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart;

I will enter His courts with praise.

I will say “This is the day that the Lord has made!”

I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

He has made me glad; He has made me glad.

I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

Bless His Holy Name

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,

Bless His holy Name.

He has done great things,

He has done great things,

He has done great things,

Bless His holy Name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,

Bless His holy Name.

Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart;

Give thanks to the Holy One;

Give thanks because He’s given

Jesus Christ, His Son

Give thanks with a grateful heart;

Give thanks to the Holy One;

Give thanks because He’s given

Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, “I am strong;”

Let the poor say, “I am rich,”

Because of what the Lord

Has done for us

And now let the weak say, “I am strong;”

Let the poor say, “I am rich,”

Because of what the Lord

Has done for us

Give thanks, give thanks, give thanks!

Psalm 107:10 - 32

10 Some sat in darkness and in gloom,

prisoners in misery and in irons,

11 for they had rebelled against the words of God,

and spurned the counsel of the Most High.

12 Their hearts were bowed down with hard labor;

they fell down, with no one to help.

13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he saved them from their distress;

14 he brought them out of darkness and gloom,

and broke their bonds asunder.

15 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

for his wonderful works to humankind.

16 For he shatters the doors of bronze,

and cuts in two the bars of iron.

17 Some were sick[b] through their sinful ways,

and because of their iniquities endured affliction;

18 they loathed any kind of food,

and they drew near to the gates of death.

19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he saved them from their distress;

20 he sent out his word and healed them,

and delivered them from destruction.

21 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

for his wonderful works to humankind.

22 And let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices,

and tell of his deeds with songs of joy.

23 Some went down to the sea in ships,

doing business on the mighty waters;

24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,

his wondrous works in the deep.

25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,

which lifted up the waves of the sea.

26 They mounted up to heaven, they went down to the depths;

their courage melted away in their calamity;

27 they reeled and staggered like drunkards,

and were at their wits’ end.

28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he brought them out from their distress;

29 he made the storm be still,

and the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 Then they were glad because they had quiet,

and he brought them to their desired haven.

31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

for his wonderful works to humankind.

32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,

and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

There is a Fountain

There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Emmanuel’s veins And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains

Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains

The dying thief rejoiced to see

That fountain in his day;

And there may I, tho’ vile as he,

Wash all my sins away,

Wash all my sins away, Wash all my sins away,

And there may I, tho’ vile as he, Wash all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Shall never lose it’s power ‘Til all the ransomed church of God Be saved to sin no more

Be saved to sin no more, be saved to sin no more ‘Til all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more

E’er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supplied Redeeming love has been my theme And shall be till I die

And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die

When this poor lisping, stamm’ring tongue

Lies silent n the grave,

Then in a nobler, sweeter song I’ll sing

Thy pow’r to save,

I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save, I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.

Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.

He Brought Me Out

1. My heart was distressed ’neath Jehovah’s dread frown, And low in the pit where my sins dragged me down; I cried to the Lord from the deep miry clay, Who tenderly brought me out to golden day.

Refrain: He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah!

2. He placed me upon the strong Rock by His side, My steps were established and here I’ll abide; No danger of falling while here I remain, But stand by His grace until the crown I gain.

Refrain: He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah!

3. He gave me a song, ’twas a new song of praise; By day and by night its sweet notes I will raise; My heart’s overflowing, I’m happy and free; I’ll praise my Redeemer, Who has rescued me.

Refrain: He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah!

4. I’ll sing of His wonderful mercy to me, I’ll praise Him till all men His goodness shall see; I’ll sing of salvation at home and abroad, Till many shall hear the truth and trust in God.

Refrain: He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah!

Psalm 107:33-43

33 He turns rivers into a desert,

springs of water into thirsty ground,

34 a fruitful land into a salty waste,

because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.

35 He turns a desert into pools of water,

a parched land into springs of water.

36 And there he lets the hungry live,

and they establish a town to live in;

37 they sow fields, and plant vineyards,

and get a fruitful yield.

38 By his blessing they multiply greatly,

and he does not let their cattle decrease.

39 When they are diminished and brought low

through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,

40 he pours contempt on princes

and makes them wander in trackless wastes;

41 but he raises up the needy out of distress,

and makes their families like flocks.

42 The upright see it and are glad;

and all wickedness stops its mouth.

43 Let those who are wise give heed to these things,

and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

Message: Pastor Ryan

Communion

Pastor Ryan reads the red

The Communion Supper, instituted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a sacrament, which proclaims His life, His sufferings, His sacrificial death and resurrection, and the hope of His coming again. It shows forth the Lord’s death until His return. The Supper is a means of grace in which Christ is present by the Spirit. It is to be received in reverent appreciation and gratefulness for the work of Christ. All those who are truly repentant, forsaking their sins, and believing in Christ for salvation are invited to participate in the death and resurrection of Christ. We come to the table that we may be renewed in life and salvation and be made one by the Spirit.

In unity with the Church, we confess our faith:

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Holy God, We gather at this, your table, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ,

who by your Spirit was anointed to preach good news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives, set at liberty those who are oppressed. Christ healed the sick, fed the hungry, ate with sinners, and established the new covenant for forgiveness of sins. We live in the hope of His coming again.

On the night in which He was betrayed, He took bread, gave thanks, broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said:

“Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me”

Likewise, when the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks, gave it to His disciples, and said:

“Drink from this, all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of me.” Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

And so, we gather as the Body of Christ to offer ourselves to you in praise and thanksgiving. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us and on these your gifts. Make them by the power of your Spirit to be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the Body of Christ, redeemed by His blood. By your Spirit make us one in Christ, one with each other, and one in the ministry of Christ to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen. And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, let us pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen
